Nordic Walking Fit is run by Lynne Martin, who aims to bring the positive physical and mental health benefits of Nordic Walking to a wide audience. Lynne initially trained with Nordic Walking UK, and completed further development with British Nordic Walking. This has led to Lynne being recognised as part of the International Nordic Walking Federation (INWA), which works with local authorities, NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups, Living Well Active and National Trust. Lynne is also active of behalf of USANA, promoting strong health.

I suffered a bad knee injury and couldn’t play football for a long time. I was starting to get stressed at work too. I went out walking with Lynne for a few weeks and found a great way to get some exercise, rebuild my strength and practice a bit of mindfulness walking outdoors. Pretty soon I was right as rain, would recommend to anyone.
Lynne is an inspirational Nordic Walking trainer and leader. She has worked hard and has a large group of regular walkers but there is always a warm welcome for new members who can’t wait for their next walk. She is both caring and motivational. Her range of walks and outings is always growing. There is something for everyone. I keep coming back after setbacks but always feel I’ve never been away. Lynne is truly a star.

I really enjoyed the session yesterday….much to my surprise, as I’d only come along to keep my friend company so had absolutely no expectations whatsoever!
I certainly felt the benefit afterwards, and today I walked the same route we took again and found I was missing my poles!
